One World Week is the largest student-run organisation in the world and is taking place this week at the University of Warwick. While we're not able to liveblog all of the talks, Clare Chng has managed to get to one of the very interesting talks, The Globalization of Culture. The main question being asked will be: Is Homogenisation of Cultures occurring - and will ponder about whether we are now seeing a move towards a single, 'global' culture.
The speakers are: Benjamin Barber (American Political Theorist and Author, USA), James Lull (Professor Emeritus of Communication Studies, San Jose State University USA) and Simon Anholt (Independent Policy Advisor to Heads of State, Heads of Government and Cabinets).
The liveblog will commence at 1800, as the talk commences.
